SIA issued a press release
in December 2007 expressing great disappointment in the U.S. government for
the lack of action in enhancing American competitiveness. Congress
recently passed the ‘America COMPETES’ Act and President Bush signed it
without actual appropriation to fund the programs it authorizes.
